We offer herbal suggestions for each Tea Lady Ceremony, but there’s no need to follow them strictly. If chamomile is what you have, or peppermint is your daily favourite, that’s perfect. What matters most is the intention you bring to your cup.

As a Western Medical Herbalist, I love to harmonise the tea with the quality I’m cultivating. Floral blends often accompany calming rituals; grounding roots such as turmeric, ginger, or ashwagandha support courage and steadiness; and bright herbs like peppermint uplift and renew.

What do I need to know before I begin?

A – Assemble Your Tea & Tools
Boil the kettle.
Choose your herbs, blend or teabag.
Ready your teapot or cup, and any utensils you need.

B – Build Your Space
Find a quiet, comfortable spot where you won’t be distracted.
Adjust the lighting. Soft and soothing is best. 
Add any personal touches (a cushion, a small flower, a candle).

C – Create Your Presence
Settle into your space.
Make sure your tea is steeping and within reach.
