Meet Sarada
Our Tea Lady

Tea Lady Ceremonies, Virtual Tea Ceremonies for Mindfullness and Meditations

The original Tea Lady made her rounds in another time and place entirely, across the bustling offices and factories of England. Her familiar, comforting presence brought warmth and pause to industrious lives. She wasn’t just serving tea; she was offering a moment of rest, a ritual of connection, and a simple yet profound act of care.

I was raised on fresh air, hard work and smoko breaks. My family lived on the land and our days were physically tiring, so we paused for tea mid-morning and mid-afternoon.

Weak black tea was served every single day of my childhood, so it’s no surprise that, as a naturopath, I eventually found myself working with a global herbal tea brand serving tea, sharing herbal medicine education, and speaking about everyday wellness.

In many ways, tea was always in my blood.

Meet Sarada who, decades later, on Bundjalung land in Byron Bay, Australia, continues this tradition in a contemporary way: serving tea, listening deeply, hosting nourishing spaces, and guiding people back to themselves through the simplest, humblest daily wellness ritual; the tea break.

Sarada has over 25 years of experience in wellness as a Naturopath, Western Medical Herbalist and Certified Yoga Teacher. She has served thousands of cups of herbal tea with warmth and heart, supporting connection with every sip.

As a wife and mother, familiar with the chaos of family life and the pressures of the modern world, Sarada looks to Mother Nature, herbal teas and small pockets of time for deep restoration and powerful respite.

Through her work as a naturopath, Sarada has witnessed the profound role of herbal tea in healing, marvelling at the way it delivers therapeutic properties alongside the power of pause, presence and soul nourishment.

No matter where Sarada goes, a good cup of tea is never far away. At events and gatherings, as her brew steeps and she prepares to serve, she is often asked,

“Are you the Tea Lady?”

She smiles.

“Yes,” she says gently.
“I am the Tea Lady.”

With every cup poured, she continues a quiet tradition: offering tea as a moment of pause, connection and care.

Acknowledgement of Country

Tea Lady Ceremonies emerged on Bunjalung Land, in the NSW Northern Rivers.

It is my privilege to live, work and raise my family here, to swim in the cool salty ocean that laps against this soil, to frolic with my family in fresh watering holes, to walk barefoot through the forest at the edge of my garden.

This land, belonging to the Arakwal, Minjungbal and Widjabal People, was never ceded. I recognise and celebrate the ongoing connection between land, sky, water and community and the beauty and strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. .

I pay my deepest respects to the Traditional Custodians of this land; past, present and emerging.
